Eric Prydz is preparing a major new chapter for one of the most influential aliases in progressive house.

The Swedish producer has revealed that six new EPs have been completed under his Pryda moniker, with each release expected to feature two tracks. The first announced titles are “Mygga” and “Modulation”, signalling a substantial return of new material from a project that has played a defining role in modern progressive house. DJ Mag

Pryda has always occupied a distinct space within Eric Prydz’s wider musical identity.

While his main-name productions often reach broader audiences, Pryda has traditionally been the home of his more club-focused progressive output. Over the years, the alias has produced records including “Pjanoo”, “Aftermath”, “Allein”, “Power Drive”, “Muranyi” and “Melo”. ericprydz.com

The new EP series also arrives after a relatively long gap.

Pryda’s previous official release was “The Return / Of Me” in 2023, meaning the upcoming material represents the first major new run from the alias in several years. DJ Mag

Prydz has also been teasing unreleased music ahead of an extensive autumn touring schedule.

His upcoming dates include Bristol, London, Birmingham, Manchester, Amsterdam and Copenhagen before a North American run beginning in Miami on October 30 and continuing through San Francisco, Dallas, Houston, Mexico City, Washington, Austin, Denver, Boston and Chicago. ericprydz.com

The timing is significant.

Progressive house has experienced several evolutions over the past decade, moving between festival-scale melodies, deeper club sounds and the darker aesthetics now frequently associated with melodic house and techno.

Prydz, however, has always followed his own path.

His productions often develop slowly, prioritising tension, atmosphere and progression rather than immediate drops. That approach helped create a musical identity that remains instantly recognisable even after more than two decades.

The new Pryda series could therefore become one of the most important progressive house releases of the year.

With six EPs already completed, fans may be about to receive one of the most substantial periods of new Pryda music in recent memory.
