Cloonee has released his long-awaited debut album, Are You Still You?, marking a major milestone in a career built around some of the most recognisable house and tech house records of recent years.
Released on October 6 through Good Music For Bad People / Hellbent Records, the 16-track project is designed as a reflection on the different phases of the British producer’s musical identity. Mixmag Italy
The title comes from a question that has followed Cloonee throughout his career.
Fans have often asked for the “old Cloonee” to return, while others have embraced the newer and more festival-focused direction of his sound. Instead of choosing between those versions, the album brings them together.
That idea becomes the central concept of Are You Still You?.
Across sixteen tracks, Cloonee moves through club-focused tech house, heavier bass-driven material, Latin influences and more direct festival records. The album also features a strong collection of collaborations, including Chris Lorenzo, Joseph Capriati, Prospa, Tristan Henry, Yandel and ATLAC. DJ Mag
Among the tracks highlighted by DJ Mag are “Don’t You Want Me” with Chris Lorenzo, “It’s Time” with Joseph Capriati, “Movimiento” with Yandel and ATLAC, and “Good Girl” with Prospa and Tristan Henry. DJ Mag
The release follows a period in which Cloonee has increasingly expanded beyond the traditional underground club circuit.
His productions have become regular fixtures across major festival stages, Ibiza sets and international club shows, while still remaining rooted in the rhythmic simplicity and direct dancefloor impact that originally defined his sound.
That balance is one of the album’s clearest themes.
Rather than presenting a complete stylistic reinvention, Are You Still You? works as a statement that the different versions of Cloonee have always belonged to the same project.
His official album hub now places the record at the centre of his current activity, alongside vinyl, merchandise and tour information. ffm.bio
For an artist who has spent much of the last decade building momentum through singles, collaborations and club records, a debut album creates a different kind of challenge.
It requires a broader narrative.
With Are You Still You?, Cloonee has chosen to make that narrative about identity itself.
Not about abandoning what came before, but about proving that every phase of his sound remains part of the same artist.
